Private Hospitals in Hong Kong

A Guide to Hong Kong’s 12 Private Hospitals

In Hong Kong, there are a total of 12 private hospitals. As a part of the medical private sector in Hong Kong, these hospitals operate as businesses. While these hospitals have shorter wait times than HA hospitals (public hospitals), their fees can be very expensive, so when deciding between using public or private hospitals in Hong Kong there are a couple of things you may want to consider.

First, what kind of accommodations do you expect from the hospital? Do these accommodations matter to you? Second and arguably most important, are you willing to pay the additional cost of their services over a HA hospital?

When a person’s health is on the line, many individuals are willing to shell out the additional cash for the best possible treatment. As private hospitals are typically associated with better care, due to their comfort, cleanliness, and state-of-the-art technology and facilities, it’s no surprise that people want to be well-informed about the services and reputation of these pricier hospitals. Below, we’ll give you a breakdown of each of the 12 hospitals ranging from the type of treatments they specialize into their fees and costs.
