Top trends for 2016 – Part 1

We’ve had a look back at this year’s international living and interior design fairs and gathered the top trends and themes for the perfect interior in the New Year!

1. Metal and brass

These cool materials combine particularly well with natural colours – try it in your living room for a beautiful, contemporary effect. They also come into their own as rivets on cushions and sofas. The metal features give the soft material a bit of rigidity and lend a warm living room a touch of rock’n’roll!

2. Velvet

Its old-fashioned reputation doesn’t do this material justice – soft velvet undergoes a trendy revival in the coming year! Turn your house from a regular home to a luxury home.

3. Gold

Nothing glitters that’s not gold: this year’s design fairs have featured an abundance of golden accessories. These are particularly eye-catching and are a great optical highlight in any room.

4. Round coffee tables

Circular coffee tables in various heights are a key trend for 2016. The varying heights mean they can be positioned under each other to give an exciting, asymmetrical effect.

5. Marble

Marble shouldn’t be overlooked, especially in bathrooms. The material itself isn’t new, but this year sees it newly combined with various blue tones, creating an exciting, contemporary effect and bringing a touch of Mediterranean flair to your home. Marble is the cornerstone for most luxury homes.
